TEFSI offered 5 trainings for university lecturers in the subject of ‘Innovative teaching for sustainable food systems’. The TEFSI trainings gathered experienced trainers from TEFSI partner universities, and thus enabled the participants to gain international, high quality knowledge unavailable at single university.
Trainings aimed to give the participants a new perspective on the sustainable food systems topic and to provide them with innovative teaching methods, tools and approaches. The training participants were selected among the lecturers representing disciplines such as food science, human nutrition, dietetics, agriculture, economics and related fields. Such a multidisciplinary approach fostered interaction of lecturers from different academic disciplines and underline the complexity of the food systems and the importance of targeting its sustainability from many different perspectives by innovative teaching.
